Last month I experienced my biggest "pinch me" moment in business yet.

As I opened up my inbox on Monday morning feeling refreshed and ready for the week ahead I found myself adopting my usual ritual of scrolling through my emails and deleting the endless amounts of crap content I've subscribed to over the years. Until I came across an email that read...

"The results are in!"

All I could picture when I read that subject line was Dermot O'Leary standing on that X Factor stage toying with the contestants, creating that annoying dramatic pause for effect, before announcing the winner of the show.

However, my moment of pause was questioning "what bloody results?"

I got straight to it and opened the email only to be welcomed with congratulations from SME News on being named the Best Virtual PA Service in Shropshire for the Midlands Enterprise Awards 2022.

(Talk about a way to kick off the week)

To say I was in shock was an understatement!

After a few pinches and numerous times hitting the refresh button, it finally sank in and the excitement took over that this email was REAL

My little business, which has been run from a small desk in my bedroom since January 2020, had been acknowledged for "the hard work and outstanding overall performance" within the Midlands and the Virtual PA industry too.

(I think it's time to upgrade my workspace with a desk name plate sharing my new title, what do you think? Too much?)

Jokes aside, you may be wondering why the hell am I telling you all this?

Well, as you sit reading this you maybe thinking "Cassie, I'm struggling to set up and run my business, let alone receive an award for it"

I want to be your reminder, proof and motivator that you DON'T have to have everything mapped out before launching your business and you most definitely DON'T need to know everything to make your business a success.

(I still find myself winging it some days)

5 Things To Consider Before Hiring A Virtual Assistant

To mark this award and the fact I'm slowly approaching my third year in business, I thought why not share 3 of my biggest pieces of advice that have allowed me to get to where I am today (signing dream clients, generating a consistent income and living a free & flexible lifestyle) to help you achieve results like this too!

1. Follow your passions

Focus on the things in business that light you up, because when you do more of what you love your authentic self shines through and your audience feed into this magnetic energy.

2. Never give up

There's no denying there will be times when things get tough (running a business is a rollercoaster of a ride) but during the lows, you will learn so many lessons about yourself and the situation experienced to grow & develop to new heights.

3. Find your community

Business can be a lonely journey so start building connections with people, work on finding your community of peers who will pick you up when things get tough, celebrate you during your wins and motivate you to reach your greatest potential.

Ultimately, "anything is possible when you put your mind to it" and if I can do it, then you sure as hell can too!

Remember my inbox is always open for those times you feel like you need someone to turn to and I will always hold space for you within C.Evans Virtual Assistant community.

Whether that's through my VA done for your services or The VA Society for coaching & mentoring

You've got this, I believe in you!

With love,

Cassie xx
