Six Signs It's Time To Invest In A Virtual Assistant

There are more people hiring Virtual Assistants now more than ever before, you just may not have realised they are working with one. Your kids school, they have a Virtual Assistant helping to organise the school trip your little one is due to go on. Your favourite salon in town, they have a VA running their social media accounts. Even Tim at the end of the road has a Virtual Assistant ordering his wife's birthday presents.

There are many VA's that specialise in different tasks/industries to help and support you to the highest level possible. Take myself for example...I help online coaches manage their time, focus and workload effectively so that they can achieve the success they desire in business by providing admin, social media & design support!

Now for the juicy part of my blog post, let's identify if you are ready to work with a Virtual Assistant with my 6 sign guide;

1. Your business is holding you hostage

One of the best parts about being an entrepreneur and your own boss is that you get to call the shots!

You can decided the hours you work, what days you will have off and even how long you take those well deserved holiday breaks for. BUT, if you can never find the time to step away from your business and take that break, it's time to call in reinforcement.

This is where a Virtual Assistant comes in handy!

Just imagine taking a morning off work to treat yourself to a mini shopping trip or pamper morning feeling completely stress free as you know the work you would have been focusing on has already been completed for you by your Virtual Assistant.

Feels pretty amazing, right?

2. Your business needs skills you don't have

As a business owner myself, I understand that desire you may have in controlling and managing all elements of your business to ensure it is running smoothly & performing to the best standards. BUT there will be times you can't complete tasks to their greatest potential, which is totally okay!

We can't all be experts in EVERYTHING!

There are experts out there who have trained and gained extensive experience in the areas you may desire support in and asking for them for help is NOT a sign of weakness or failure....its a sign you are willing to expand your team to grow your business and better serve your paying & potential clients.

As the saying goes, "Do what you do best and outsource the rest!"

3. Spending more time on admin tasks than business

There is ALOT that goes into running a business!

Behind the "picture perfect" Instagram feed you find the long list of admin tasks from; invoicing, emailing and accounting (to name just a few) which can take up ALOT of your time and distract you from adding value to the key areas of your business where your potential & paying clients can be found.

As an online service provider you are the heart of your business which is a key factor as to why your clients choose to work with you!

So focus your time & energy where your clients need you most and outsource your admin tasks to a Virtual Assistant.

4. Your business is not reaching it's potential

A successful business strategy is one that includes clear goals, plans and visions to ensure you are focusing your time and energy in the right places.

Despite have clear targets in place to help you stay on track with your workload and management, you may find yourself being pulled left, right and centre! Missing deadlines, meetings and falling short of your goals can leave you in a state of overwhelm (which no one wants to experience)

By hiring a Virtual Assistant, not only will you have a team member to help you stay accountable in achieving your goals but also help you bring them into fruition too by utilising their skillset.

5. You're ready to scale

When it comes to scaling your business there are usually 3 key components required to help you scale successfully, these include; systems, cash and people.

Let's face it...trying to grow and scale your business alone would be pretty difficult!

That's why on your journey of business growth, you want to ensure you are surrounding yourself with a person (or team) that share the same vision of scaling as you so you can all be as focused & productive on the goal in hand.

Before hiring anyone into your team, take a moment to identifying the most critical roles and tasks within your business that will help you to scale and achieve the results you desire. Once you have identified these, you will be able to understand how much support you will need (full or part time) from a Virtual Assistant and other freelancers.

6. You've got big visions, but little time

One of the best parts about running your own business is all the ideas you have to improve not only your business but your products & services for both yourself and your clients too!

However, there is nothing more frustrating than accumulating a long list of ideas that stay on the list for months and months getting all dusty (haha). Maybe it's because you lack time, skills or even the plan on how to actually bringing them to life - but it doesn't have to be this way!

Hiring and working with a Virtual Assistant will help you to devise a fitting plan where you can bring your ideas into fruition so that your business can grow and thrive.

To conclude...

There are a large number of ways a Virtual Assistant can help you to manage & grow your business through offloading tasks and you should never feel guilty for seeking that additional support.

Remember, "Do what you do best and outsource the rest!"
